Volunteer Vacancy at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
Spurn National Nature Reserve Assistant
This internationally important nature reserve needs your help. The warden Andrew Gibson has loads of great ideas on ways to develop the potential of this inspiring site, but he needs the hands and extra enthusiasm of volunteers to get things going, so this is a great opportunity to make a difference! You might be helping to maintain access paths, assisting school groups who visit the site, manning the gatehouse and shop, helping the Bird Observatory group who are based at Spurn or many other varied tasks.
The Bird Observatory group have basic accommodation on site which may be available to YWT volunteers at half price, so why not take a few days out to live and work in one of the most remote but spectacular locations in Yorkshire? Even better, get a group together and make it a real event!
To discuss this opportunity in more detail, please contact the Spurn Warden Andrew Gibson on telephone 01964 650533 or e-mail spurnywt@ukonline.co.uk.
